1、 What is high purity water
High purity water is a kind of water with high chemical purity, and the content of impurities is less than 0.1mg/l. Generally, in the process of electronic, pharmaceutical, aerospace or other special industries, theoretical pure water with conductivity of 0.055 μ s / cm (resistivity of 18.2 m Ω· cm) is generally required in order to achieve the process water required by products, which is collectively referred to as high purity water or ultra pure water
At present, the purity of high-purity water made by people has reached 99.999999%, in which the impurity content is less than 0.01mg/l, almost all the conductive media in the water are removed, and the non dissociated colloidal substances, gases and organic substances in the water are removed to a very low level of water. The salt content of high purity water is below 0.3 mg / L, and the conductivity is less than 0.2 μ s / cm.
2、 Overview of high purity water equipment
The high purity equipment of our company mainly adopts the combined process of RO reverse osmosis pure water equipment and EDI high-purity water equipment. EDI module with strong stability is used as the secondary desalting equipment after the reverse osmosis equipment, which can produce up to 10-18.2m Ω· cm.
3、 Working principle of EDI module in high purity water equipment
EDI module is the technology of continuous electric desalting (EDI, electro deionization or CDI), which is a process of using mixed ion exchange resin to adsorb anions and cations in water supply. At the same time, these adsorbed ions are removed through anion cation exchange membrane under the action of DC voltage. In this process, the ion exchange resin is electrically regenerated continuously, so no acid or alkali is needed to regenerate it. This new technology can replace the traditional ion exchange equipment to produce ultra pure water up to 18m-cm. It can also be described as follows: EDI uses anion and cation membranes in the form of symmetrical stacking. Anion and cation resins are sandwiched between the anion and cation membranes to exchange anions and cations under the action of DC voltage respectively. At the same time, under the action of voltage gradient, water will be electrolyzed to produce a large number of H + and oh - which continuously regenerate the anion and cation in the ion-exchange membrane. Due to EDI continuous exchange - regeneration, making the purity of water is higher and higher, so it is easy to produce high-purity high-purity water.
